After being lyrical for so long I guess it is time for get into who I am.
I am a guy, from the Netherlands, basic as that. I have been on this world for quite a while and have seen a lot. Been through some things. I have experience with good and bad things. Just like you would expect. And due to such my work tends to carry a shadow in it.
As a young one I picked up a huge book, Lord of the Rings, all in one book. A true chonker and read it many times. It is my book so to say. Not to mention once each week to the library. I can really suggest getting young kids once a week to the library to instill in them the desire to read.
I have been in amateur stage plays for years. Pushing my ability to work with characters. After all, everything is done from within the character.
But that also lead to one thing, creation, writing. Instilling all I learned, forging characters, creating worlds, and mostly DRAMA.
And as any writer I have had years of stuff written that isn’t worth publishing. I can accept that. I got a stash of rough stories with mayor mistakes. One way to get better is to see one’s own mistakes. Or have another set of eyes point out it. A seed after all is not a plant that bears fruit yet.
I have a few other hobbies that aided me in the artistic range. Photography for instance, which is useful to have as skill and tools.
And I am ever learning new skills to improve my work.
There is just one thing left… getting to the point of publishing. That one last step, am I afraid? Yes, but who isn’t. Yet if one doesn’t takes that one step forward how can they find themselves on a new adventure.
